Georgia Cranswick, between growth and growing

Georgia Cranswick, between growth and growing

Jul 06, 2026

This month in Après Diaries, we're at the intersection of detail and dreaming with Georgia Cranswick. A pilates instructor by day, she has created a world fit for an active aesthete.

At the time of writing, Georgia is on the precipice of motherhood, of both business and baby. To make such a state of flux look both calm and playful is nothing short of dazzling; catch a glimpse of the light with us.

To properly introduce you, what are your nicknames?

George, G

What did you want to be when you grew up?

A Mum 🥹

In three words, how would your closest friends describe you?

Warm, encouraging, sassy

Coffee order?

Cold brew, even when it’s cold outside

Do you believe in astrology? Either way, what's your star sign?

I do - but I have the memory of a sieve so I only remember my own (maybe that’s my Leo Moon, which I really do resonate with)
I’m a Pisces - emotional, dreamer girl who loves the water

Failsafe wardrobe combo?

Comfort always, so an elasticated waistband pant - the elastic is important - and a baby tee! Cute pair of shoes like tabis to add some fun

Comfort meal?

Hot chips with aioli always, chicken salt too if I’m lucky

What’s the best gift you’ve received or given?

Recently my best friend surprised me with a herding ball for my reactive kelpie, and in my hormonal pregnant state I burst into tears
She knows how difficult it is for me having a sweet reactive boy, and this gift was to help make my life easier and his more fulfilling
It was so thoughtful
Not glamorous, but so kind

What’s something you could talk non-stop about?

My growing baby girl - being pregnant has become my whole personality. It’s the thing I’ve wanted most in my life since I can remember, so I really can’t shut up about it now! The female body is also just phenomenal - what do you mean I’m growing my baby's teeth this week

Any guilty pleasures? Do you even feel guilty about pleasure?

I never feel guilty about pleasure. I haven’t always been like this though - I used to be constantly on the go, never resting or staying still, but in the last several years I’ve learnt to really lean into calm and rest. I love doing nothing - I think it’s so important for my nervous system, but definitely a learned skill for some. I also love clothes, and I shop way too much - but I absolutely don’t feel guilty. There’s much worse things hehe.

What’s the best item you’ve purchased this last year?

My Palorosa medium basket bag - the type B girlie in me loves to chuck absolutely everything and more into it!
Plus it’s chic

If somebody could organise your perfect day, how would you spend it and who would you spend it with?

I would be out of the city in nature - there would be sunny skies and a warm breeze, but not too hot
There would be horse riding, a picnic lunch and an ocean swim to cool off afterwards
I’d be with my small circle of favourite people - my partner and close friends
Maybe I’d be teaching my daughter how to ride

What’s something that never fails to make you excited?

I’m an incredibly excitable person, it doesn’t take much at all. It’s usually when I leave the city or travel somewhere new. It could also be hanging washing up outside in the sun, seeing a friend who I feel like my silliest self around, seeing my puppy after being at work all day, knowing I have a parcel arriving that day… but at the moment, planning my daughter's nursery is fuelling the most amount of excitement.

What about something that never fails to make you scared?

Losing a loved one

What’s one question you can’t stop pondering currently?

Are people going to come to the mums and bubs Pilates classes that I’m about to launch and start running???
What better time to start a business than 20 weeks pregnant

The sound of Georgia's world:

There is no cohesion to this whatsoever - which probably represents me very accurately.
